Washington Capitals, Wizards Move From DC To NoVA Outlined
The plan to relocate the Washington Capitals and Wizards from DC will come with an entertainment district in Alexandria’s Potomac Yard.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin was in Potomac Yard Wednesday to announce the $2 billion entertainment district project with the teams’ owner Monumental Sports & Entertainment, developer JBG Smith and City of Alexandria officials. The proposed entertainment district would be subject to approval by the Virginia General Assembly and the City of Alexandria.
